Privacy policy
Effective September 2, 2026. The short version: we collect what we need to answer your leads, we do not sell it, and you can export or delete it.
1. Who this covers
This policy explains how LeadBolt of San Antonio, Texas ("LeadBolt," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit leadbolt.app, use the LeadBolt application, or communicate with a business that uses LeadBolt. It is effective September 2, 2026.
Two kinds of people are covered. Customers are the home-service businesses and their staff who use LeadBolt. Prospects are the people who contact those businesses through Yelp, a website form, Google, Meta, Angi and similar platforms, a phone call, or a text message. For Prospect data, the Customer is the controller: it decides why the data is collected and how it is used. LeadBolt is the processor and handles that data only on the Customer's instructions.
2. What we collect
About Prospects, on behalf of Customers: names, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses and cities, message contents, the service requested, timestamps and response times, appointment details, job and invoice amounts, and identifiers assigned by the lead source (for example a Yelp conversation reference).
From Customers directly: user name, email address, role, and organization details; billing details, which are handled by a third-party payment processor (we never store full card numbers); the scripts and settings you configure; and usage and log data such as pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, and browser and device information.
From connected platforms: data those platforms share with us when a Customer connects them, such as Yelp business and ad performance data, Google Local Services leads, Meta lead form submissions, and customer and job records from a connected job platform.
Cookies: only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Service: receive and store leads, classify them, screen spam, send replies and follow-up sequences on the Customer's behalf, track appointments and jobs, sync won leads to a connected job platform or the built-in job tracker, and report analytics.
- To operate accounts: sign-in, billing, support, and notices about the Service.
- To improve the Service, including tuning spam detection and reply quality using aggregated and de-identified data across Customers.
- To keep the Service secure and to enforce our terms.
- To comply with law.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Prospect data to market to Prospects on our own behalf, and we do not share one Customer's Prospect data with another Customer.
4. AI-assisted replies
Customers can turn on optional AI-assisted reply drafting. When it is on, the text of a conversation, along with the Customer's scripts and business details, may be sent to an AI model provider to draft a reply. Providers are contractually restricted from using that content to train their general models. Customers can leave this feature off, in which case no message text is sent to a model provider. Every automated message is labeled as automated inside the Customer's inbox.
6. Text messaging
Text messages are sent only in reply to people who contacted a Customer first, or who otherwise consented. Message and data rates may apply. Replying STOP ends messages from that business; replying HELP returns contact information. Follow-up sequences also stop when a Prospect replies, books an appointment, is marked lost, or asks to stop. Phone numbers and consent records are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
7. Retention
Lead and message data is kept while the Customer's account is active. After an account is closed it is deleted or anonymized within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Backups roll off within 35 days. Customer account and billing records are kept as long as needed to handle billing questions and legal obligations. Customers can export their data at any time and can request deletion. Aggregated, de-identified data may be kept indefinitely.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside LeadBolt is role-based and limited to staff who need it to provide support or operate the Service, and it is recorded in audit logs. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you without undue delay and as required by law.
9. Where data is stored
LeadBolt is operated from San Antonio, Texas, and data is hosted with cloud providers in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed there.
10. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information by emailing hello@leadbolt.app. We respond within 30 days. Customers can also view, export, correct, and delete most data from within the application.
Prospects who want to access, correct, or delete information a business holds about them should contact that business. If you are not sure which business, email us and we will help route the request.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws in other states to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We honor those rights where they apply. We do not sell personal information and have not done so.
12. Children
The Service is for businesses. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email to account owners and by a notice on this page at least 14 days before they take effect.
14. Contact and governing law
